the five mile grace – a matthew miller photography joint bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

It started and ended very quickly. I took a photography course my junior year at North Gwinnett High school. 2 weeks later I was kicked out, and thats what I thought would the end of my interest of photography. Anyhow, many years later I found myself embarking on my first tour out of the country to Europe with my band ,Most Precious Blood, and for the trip, my mother bought me my first digital camera.I wanted to document every part of the journey(little did i know that i would tour europe a total of five times in the coming years).

Its been almost 6 years since that tour. I have traveled all over the US more times than I can remember.I've been overseas to Brazil, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, and all over Europe. Now I've dropped anchor after living in Brooklyn NY and doing the band full time, I bought a house with my lovely lady(and amazing tattooer) Danielle. We have two midget vegan pitbull puppies named Trainwreck and Justice. We just bought a beautiful home in East Atlanta Georgia. Life is really looking good these days.

I created this blog to show the kind of Photography that I have been doing recently, and also to have a platform to show what is going on in my life. I am available for hire when im not working with the best damn wedding photographers in Atlanta at OUR LABOR OF LOVE. Please get in touch or leave me a comment if you like what you see, or you want to set up a shoot.

Chloe just loves those leaves!

Its truly stunning that ive done 2 shoots that were a mile from where i grew up, and i didnt even know it. Either im getting too old and im forgetting where i am, or things have changed so much where i used to call home that i cant even recognize them anymore. Either way, there is a new park down the road from my parents old house that is so perfect to soak in all the fall colors and provide and awesome atmosphere and backdrop to take photos of my friend Amy’s lovely daughter, Chloe. It was such a good time catching up with amy and chasing chloe all over the park.

The GWINN family portraits!

Zach and Corrie came into the tattoo shop with their beautiful daughter last Wednesday. I was instantly drawn to their eclectic look and loved how cute of a family they were. After some small talk while they were getting tattooed, they mentioned to my girlfriend Danielle that they have never had any fun family portraits, well Danielle handed them my card and i received and email later on that afternoon, and just like that, we set up a shoot for Sunday. They had a great location in mind , Murray’s Mill near downtown Atlanta. I simply couldn’t be happier with their choice. They were a lot of fun and i think these images will prove that point exactly!

Kids.Kids.Kids.Kids.Kids.Kids.Kids.Kids.Kids.Kids.Kids.

last week i got to meet up with 2 old friends of mine and their children. It was super fun shoot and it was so incredible to see all the personality and looks from the mothers onto their kids. I also had never done 2 photo shoots at once, but these kids made it easy and by the end of the day they were hamming it up for the camera. Thanks to Kim and her family and thanks to Kerry and her family. It was great catching up and hanging out with your kids for a day!
